The biscuit fabric "Paupério & Companhia" was founded in 1874 by António de Sousa Malta Paupério and Joaquim Carlos Figueira. Now is managed by the 6th generation of the Figueira family, which maintains a traditional biscuits line with the same recipes that have been used since the fabric was founded. The quite traditional production, with some equipment that is authentic museum pieces, was never an obstacle to obtaining high-quality products.
